A Heavenly Hedge for Any Landscape
Why Gulf Stream Heavenly Bamboo Shrubs?
This “Heavenly” hedge is the chameleon of the evergreen family, constantly changing colors throughout the seasons!
Also known as Gulf Stream Nandina, the Gulf Stream Heavenly Bamboo is a compact evergreen shrub, growing on average 3 to 3.5 feet tall and wide. It provides dense hedge cover for its petite size, and its shape is perfect for planting around foundations or in mixed borders.
The Gulf Stream features vibrant, ever-changing foliage. Leaves begin spring with a scarlet red hue and mature to blue-green in the summer, as dainty white flowers begin to bloom. As the temperature cools in autumn, the foliage changes again into a palette of dramatic red hues, with warm orange tints added in the winter.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Nandina in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. Once you’ve selected your location, dig a hole that’s large enough to accommodate your shrub’s root ball, place your shrub, and water the surrounding soil.
2. Watering: Let your soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches in between waterings. Once your soil is dry, give your Nandina a deep watering at the base.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Nandina at the beginning of every spring and in the middle of summer with an acidic fertilizer.
